Highway Hazards

A fun family outing can quickly go awry when an accident occurs. Unfortunately, many automobile-related accidents that result in brain injury are caused by unsafe roadways.

Common highway hazards include the following:

• Poor road design
• Poor location of telephone poles
• Improper location
• Improper roadway drainage, leading to slippery and icy roads
• Poor maintenance
• Lack of medial barriers
• Lack of warnings and road signs that alert the driver to roadway dangers

Municipalities have a responsibility to make sure that their roadways are safe. If your child has sustained a brain injury, and you think highway hazards played a part, you may be due compensation for your child’s medical care, rehabilitation, and therapies. Contact us to find out how we can help.
