Mom and Dad travel back and forth to Minnesota to visit family and when they do, they must bring all of the equipment due to his Cerebral Palsy. As Ryder is growing in leaps and bounds, carrying him and lifting him is becoming more difficult.

The cost of the equipment gets quite high, so they contacted Danielle’s Foundation for some help.  We were thrilled to be able to help! Congrats Ryder and we hope that you and your family get lots of use out of the GoTo Seat.

About Us (01/21/2015)

Apply for a grant from Danielle’s Foundation.

We strive to help families gain access to therapies, equipment and other benefits for their children who have Cerebral Palsy or Traumatic Brain Injuries.

Danielle’s Story

Danielle’s Foundation was created to honor the memory of Danielle Vick, who sadly passed away in 2008 from complications of anoxic brain injury.

While Danielle’s life was short, it was also incredibly inspirational. When Danielle’s mother, Florence, was exposed to the world of special needs children—a world in which therapies and benefits are too often just out of reach, too expensive, or turned down by insurance companies—she realized the importance of becoming an advocate for her child.  Please read more about Danielle’s Story here.

Apply for a grant today!

To honor her memory, this Foundation was started for families to obtain a grant that can be used towards therapies, equipment, and other benefits.  Our grant period runs every quarter and the 2 page application is very simple to fill out.  You will be contacted by one of our volunteers for short a conversation regarding your child and their needs.  We understand hectic schedules and respect your time, so we try and keep the conversations short and always when it is convenient for the parents or caregivers. At the end of each quarter the Board of Directors meet and make a selection, and this process takes approximately a month.  We are thrilled that we have been able to give more than one grant each quarter! The families are notified by phone and then a public announcement is made on our Facebook page.

Follow us on Facebook

You will find information about some of the newest equipment, different therapies and techniques used to help the kids, shops online that specialize in adaptive software and electronics as well as camps for the summer, wheelchair accessible places to visit and a ton of other Cerebral Palsy news!

Call today at 800-511-2283 and request a grant application.  We look forward to being able to help you and your child.
