Physical Therapy

When a child with cerebral palsy or brain injury develops issues with movement and muscles, physical therapy is needed to return them to a maximum amount of function.

Physical therapy can help a child with cerebral palsy or brain injury gain muscle strength and coordination, improve flexibility, and reduce spasticity.

Physical therapists are trained to work with your child’s muscles to promote strength and proper use. Physical therapy is often a significant part of both inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation programs following injury, although the amount of physical therapy needed will vary from child to child.

Most insurances cover some portion of physical therapy. However, if you find that your child is not getting the amount of physical therapy that he needs, contact us for more information on how we can help.
